Porsche Panamera S Recalls

The Porsche Panamera S has 5 recalls covering 2010–2016 model years, with the most serious being an electrical short on 2010–2016 vehicles that can cause a fire. A separate but equally urgent issue affects the same 2010–2016 model years: if a driver exits the vehicle without placing the transmission in Park and without engaging the parking brake, the car can roll away unexpectedly. The transmission gear position indicator may not make clear the vehicle is out of Park, removing a safeguard against unintended movement.

On 2012 Panamera S Hybrid models, the fuel injection system can leak, creating a fire risk when fuel contacts an ignition source. The 2010–2012 model years, including the Panamera S, 4S, and Turbo, have camshaft controllers that can work loose inside the engine and cause a stall while driving. Finally, 2012–2014 models are included in a broader headlight adjustment recall affecting multiple Porsche models; improperly aimed headlights can either under-illuminate the road ahead or send glare into oncoming traffic.
