The 2012 Porsche Panamera S has 5 recalls, the most serious involving two fire risks: an electrical short and, on Hybrid models only, a fuel injection system leak that can ignite near a heat source.
A third fire-related concern involves the transmission: if the driver exits the vehicle without selecting Park or applying the parking brake, the car can roll away unexpectedly. On the engine side, camshaft controllers can come loose internally, causing the engine to stall while driving. There is also a headlight recall affecting a wide range of Porsche models across many years, where improperly aimed headlights can either fail to light the road ahead or create glare that blinds oncoming drivers.
