2002 Saturn Vue

The 2002 Saturn Vue has 4 recalls, the most serious being a faulty ignition switch that allows the key to be removed before the ignition is turned fully off, which can leave the vehicle able to roll away if the transmission is not in park.

On automatic transmission vehicles, removing the key while the ignition is still active bypasses the mechanism that locks the transmission in park, raising the risk of an unintended rollaway. There is also a lighting concern: the daytime running lamp resistor can crack, and if moisture and road salt get in, the resistor corrodes and the daytime running lamps stop working, making the vehicle harder for other drivers and pedestrians to see. Rounding out the list is a compliance recall involving front seatbelt assemblies that are missing a required label on certain load-limiting retractors.
