The 2012-2016 model years share a separate issue with the alternator stator, which can lack sufficient heat resistance and develop a short circuit in its wiring. When that happens, the battery stops charging properly and the engine can stall unexpectedly. On 2012 models only, the brake light switch mounted to the hand lever can fail, leaving following traffic without a warning when braking.
