2024 TOYOTA COROLLA Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2024 Toyota Corolla has 3 recalls, the most serious involving a steering intermediate shaft that can fracture and detach from the steering column, causing complete loss of steering control. Two additional safety concerns round out the list. On certain hybrid models, a software error in the brake control computer can cause power brake assist to drop out while turning a corner, extending stopping distances. There is also an airbag concern: a fault in the clockspring, the rotary connector that links the steering wheel to the vehicle's electrical system, can deactivate the driver's airbag so it does not deploy in a crash.
