The 2014 Toyota Tacoma has 3 recalls, the most serious involving valve springs inside the engine that can break over time, causing the engine to stall while driving and raising the risk of a crash.
The remaining two recalls affect dealer-installed accessories on certain vehicles distributed by Southeast Toyota. An accessory hood scoop can lose its adhesive bond and detach while driving, becoming a hazard for other vehicles on the road. Running boards and other accessories may also have been incorrectly installed at the dealership level and can detach from the vehicle, posing a similar road hazard risk.
