The 2017 Volkswagen Jetta has 8 recalls, the most serious being an engine that can seize and cause the wheels to suddenly lock up, resulting in an immediate loss of vehicle control. This engine seize issue affects vehicles equipped with the 1.4L engine. There is also a fuel system concern: the bolts securing the fuel rail can loosen over time and allow fuel to leak, raising the risk of a fire. The remaining recalls are label and compliance issues. The tire information label on certain vehicles shows incorrect load rating values, which can lead to overloading the vehicle and affect handling or cause tire damage.
