The 2018 Volvo XC90 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving second-row seatbelt buckles and lower anchor bolts that may not be properly tightened, which can allow the belt to fail to hold an occupant in a crash.
A software recall affects only XC90 Excellence trim vehicles: liquid or condensation on the rear seat control display can cause the front passenger seat to slide rearward on its own, potentially trapping the rear passenger without a way to stop the movement. There is also a connectivity software issue where a faulty Vehicle Connectivity Module can prevent accurate GPS location from being sent to emergency services during a crash, slowing response times.
