Gillig, LLC (Gillig) is recalling certain 2023-2026 Low Floor transit buses. The high voltage cable, connecting the inverter to the drive unit, contains a splice connection that reduces the amp capacity rating.
Safety Risk
Reduced capacity may cause the cable to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Gillig will reprogram the software as an interim repair. For the final remedy, Gillig will replace the high voltage cable. Both repairs will be provided free of charge. Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk are expected to be mailed April 1, 2026. Another notice will be sent once the final remedy becomes available. BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling one 2025 I4 EDRIVE40 vehicle. The connection between the positive battery cable and the rear power distributor may become loose.
Safety Risk
A loose positive battery cable connection could lead to the vehicle stalling, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, a loose battery cable can overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
A dealer will check the positive battery cable connection and, if necessary, repair it, free of charge. The owner notification letter is expected to be mailed on February 13, 2026. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning February 13, 2026.
Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2024 Acura ZDX vehicles. The front passenger stabilizer bar bracket bolts may become loose and detach from the frame, which can damage the high voltage cables or EV battery coolant lines.
Safety Risk
Damaged high voltage cables or EV battery coolant lines can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and tighten the bolts, and repair the stabilizer bar and bracket, high voltage cables, and EV battery coolant lines as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 24, 2025. Owners may contact Honda's customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is KKY.
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2020 GLC 350e hybrid electric vehicles. The high-voltage wiring harness shield may not withstand the electrical loads produced under certain driving conditions, possibly causing an electrical malfunction and resulting in a stall.
Safety Risk
A vehicle stall can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the high-voltage wiring harness, free of charge. The recall began December 11, 2020. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372. MBUSA's number for this recall is 2020110008.
