The 2008 Buick Enclave has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the driver's airbag inflator, which can explode during deployment and send metal fragments into the cabin, posing a risk of serious injury or death.
Two other recalls involve safety systems. The side-impact airbags and front seatbelt pretensioners can fail to deploy in a crash due to increased electrical resistance in the wiring harnesses, leaving the driver and front passenger without that protection when they need it most. The rear liftgate can also drop unexpectedly while open, striking anyone standing nearby.
