The 2020 Buick Enclave has 7 recalls, the most serious involving a fuel pump defect that can starve the engine of fuel and cause a sudden stall, a transmission oil leak that can progress to a complete loss of drive power, and tires that can crack at the sidewall or shed tread without warning.
The tire issue covers two separate filings describing the same overcured Continental tires, which can fail through sudden air loss or belt separation. On the safety equipment side, the curtain airbag inflator's diffuser component may not be properly secured and can break free during deployment, reducing the airbag's ability to protect occupants in a crash. There are also two recalls addressing the same structural concern: a cracked right-hand frame rail in the engine compartment that can weaken the vehicle's ability to manage crash forces in a frontal impact, raising the risk of injury to occupants.
