Cadillac XT6 Recalls

The Cadillac XT6 has 15 recalls covering the 2020 through 2025 model years, with the most serious being a fuel tank rollover valve on 2022 models that fails to seal in a rollover crash, allowing fuel to leak and raising the risk of fire.

The 2024-2025 model years have two recalls: windshields on 2024 vehicles may not be properly bonded to the body and can detach in a crash, and the instrument panel on 2024-2025 models can fail to illuminate when hazard lights, high beams, or turn signals are active, leaving those lights on without a reminder to the driver.

The 2023 model year has a transmission issue where an incorrect internal gear can cause the front axle shaft to disengage from the transmission, resulting in sudden loss of drive power or the vehicle rolling away when parked. There is also a certification label on 2023 vehicles where tire size information may be illegible, which can lead to the wrong tires being installed.

The 2022 model year carries three additional recalls beyond the rollover valve issue. The left-rear suspension toe link may have been improperly tightened and can separate while driving, causing loss of vehicle control. There is also a missing warning label on the brake fluid reservoir cap, which can allow debris into the fluid and degrade braking over time.

On 2021 models, fuel supply lines may not be fully seated and can loosen or separate, leaking fuel and raising the risk of fire. The 2020-2021 model years, on vehicles equipped with the optional Surround Vision feature, have a rearview camera cable that can fail or cut out intermittently, reducing rear visibility.

The 2020 model year has three separate issues. The fuel pump's jet nozzle can become blocked, starving the engine of fuel and causing a stall without warning. The start-stop system's accumulator can have missing bolts on its end cap, leading to a transmission oil leak and possible loss of propulsion. Side curtain airbag inflators on 2020 vehicles have two related concerns: the inflators may not deploy properly in a crash, and a diffuser component inside the inflator assembly can separate during deployment, reducing the airbag's ability to protect occupants.
