The 2022 Cadillac XT6 has 4 recalls, the most serious being a fuel tank rollover valve that can fail to seal in a rollover crash, allowing fuel to leak and raising the risk of fire.
The rear suspension also carries a significant concern: the left-rear toe link, a rod that keeps the rear wheel pointed in the correct direction, may have been tightened insufficiently and can work loose or separate entirely while driving. If that happens, the rear end can shift unpredictably and the driver may lose control of the vehicle. This recall applies to AWD models only. There is also a braking concern involving the brake fluid reservoir cap, which on some vehicles is missing its required warning label. Without that label, someone servicing the vehicle may not know to wipe the cap clean before removing it, allowing dirt and debris into the brake fluid. Contaminated brake fluid can degrade the hydraulic system over time, leading to longer stopping distances.
