2022 CHEVROLET 7500XD Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2022 Chevrolet 7500XD has two recalls, both carrying fire risk: a fuel heater that can overheat and melt its casing, leaking fuel near electrical components, and a forward collision warning camera with potentially misrouted wiring that can overload a circuit and overheat. On the fuel system side, the heater that prevents diesel fuel from gelling in cold weather can run too hot, softening the plastic casing until fuel escapes into the nearby electrical connector, where an ignition source could start a fire. On vehicles equipped with the Mobileye collision warning system, the camera cable may have been routed incorrectly during assembly, stressing the wiring until it damages and draws excess current through the circuit, also raising the risk of a fire.
