In one case, a retaining ring may be missing from the half-shaft assembly, allowing the inner joint to separate. In the other, an incorrect sun gear inside the transmission can cause the half-shaft to pull free from the transmission itself. Both failures lead to the same outcome, and prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the issue across all affected vehicles.
