The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado has 4 recalls, the most serious involving the electric rear drive unit, where insufficiently insulated motor wires can contact each other and cut drive power while the vehicle is moving.
The remaining three recalls all involve seatbelt attachment points. Front seat belt buckles on both sides may have attachment bolts that were not properly tightened, which can prevent the buckle from holding an occupant in a crash. The rear center seat belt has a similar issue, where the bolt securing the assembly to the seat structure may also be loose and fail to restrain an occupant. There is also a concern with the second-row center seat belt bezel, where an incorrect part can cut or tear the belt webbing in a crash, leaving that occupant without effective restraint. All four recalls apply to the Silverado EV configuration.
