The 2021 Chevrolet Traverse has 3 recalls, the most serious affecting wheelchair-accessible models with a Power In-floor Ramp conversion, where a plastic shroud can chafe against the transmission and cause a fluid leak that may cut drive power or start a fire. Two recalls involve airbags that can fail to deploy in a crash. On certain vehicles that received a software update at a dealership, incorrect airbag calibration can cause frontal airbags to misfire or not deploy at all. Separately, the wiring connector for the side roof rail curtain airbags may have mismatched electrical terminals, which can prevent those bags from inflating when needed in a side-impact crash.
