The 2022 Dodge Durango has 6 recalls, the most serious involving the steering rack and the column shifter: the steering rack can bind and cause difficulty steering or a complete loss of control, while the shifter can slip out of drive and cut power unexpectedly.
Two recalls involve the electronic stability control system. A software fault in the ABS control module can disable stability control without warning, and a separate software issue can prevent the dashboard warning light from illuminating when stability control is already malfunctioning, leaving the driver unaware of the problem. On the visibility side, a software bug can prevent the rearview camera image from appearing when backing up. There is also a structural concern: the rear spoiler may not sit flush with the roof, and repeated liftgate use can crack or loosen it to the point where it detaches and becomes a hazard on the road.
