On vehicles equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine, brake fluid can migrate from the front wheel circuit into the brake booster, gradually reducing the effectiveness of the front brakes and changing how the pedal feels underfoot. There is also a fire risk tied to the front blower motor, the unit tucked behind the glove box that pushes air through the cabin for heat and air conditioning. If this motor fails, it can generate enough heat to start a fire inside the vehicle. The third recall involves the rearview camera, which can display a distorted, flipped, or completely blank image when the vehicle is in reverse, cutting off the driver's view of what is directly behind the vehicle and raising the risk of a backing collision.
