The 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning BEV has 3 recalls, all rated at the same severity level, with the most serious being a park system that may fail to hold the vehicle in place, allowing it to roll away unattended.
The park function issue stems from an integrated park module that can fail to fully lock when the driver shifts into park, leaving the truck free to roll with no warning. On the suspension side, a front upper control arm ball joint nut may not have been properly tightened at the factory, which can allow the control arm to pull free from the steering knuckle entirely, causing sudden and complete loss of steering. The braking system also has a concern: bracket screws holding the front brake jounce hose can loosen and fall out, letting the hose rub against the tire until it wears through and leaks brake fluid, which extends the distance the truck needs to come to a full stop.
