The 2017 Ford F-250 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving vehicles with the 6.2L gasoline engine and 6R100 transmission where a damaged internal transmission component can prevent the parking pawl from engaging, meaning the vehicle may not hold in Park and could roll away.
Two other recalls round out the list. On trucks equipped with an engine block heater, corrosion can build up inside the heater cable's splice connector and cause a resistive short when the heater is plugged in, which can overheat or melt the surrounding wiring and raise the risk of a fire. There is also a door latch concern specific to vehicles that were originally built with black or body-colored exterior door handles and later fitted with a chrome door handle cover accessory kit from a Ford dealer; the latch on those doors can fail to hold in a side impact, allowing the door to open during a collision.
