The 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility has 3 recalls, the most serious affecting vehicles with the 3.3L gas or hybrid engine, where worn connecting rod bearings can cause the engine to fail, cutting power to the wheels or starting a fire. On the visibility side, two recalls cover different concerns. On vehicles with the 12.1-inch integrated computer screen, the display may not wake up when the transmission is shifted into reverse, leaving the driver without a rearview camera image while backing up. Separately, the windshield washer fluid reservoir on some vehicles may have been filled with fluid contaminated by brake fluid, which can damage the washer system and leave the windshield difficult to clear, reducing forward visibility.
