GENESIS GV80 Recalls

The Genesis GV80 has 7 recalls covering 2020 through 2026 model years, with the most serious being a fuel line connection that can leak at the fuel rail on 2021-2026 vehicles, raising the risk of a fire. The 2020-2023 model years share a seatbelt pretensioner defect where the front driver and passenger pretensioners can rupture during deployment and throw metal fragments into the cabin, raising the risk of injury to occupants. The 2021 model year has an additional pretensioner concern tied to the same underlying failure mode; a prior repair attempt for 2021 vehicles did not fully resolve the issue, and those vehicles require a second repair even if the earlier work was completed. On the fuel system side, 2022-2023 models have a fuel pump that can fail and cause a sudden loss of drive power while the vehicle is moving. The 2021 model year also has a low-pressure fuel pump that can fail in high ambient temperatures, causing rough running, a no-start condition, or an abrupt loss of engine power while driving.
