1978 GMC G SERIES Recalls — Canada & USA

The 1978 GMC G Series has two recalls of equal seriousness: front swivel bucket seats with improperly installed mounting nuts that can break loose in a crash or unexpectedly during normal driving, interfering with steering control. On certain G2 and G3 models with the 292 cubic inch engine and air conditioning, a fuel pipe routed near the air conditioning bracket can wear through over time and leak gasoline into the engine compartment, raising the risk of an engine fire.
