The 2022 Honda Accord has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the passenger seat occupant sensor and a brake fluid leak that can each raise the risk of a crash or injury.
The occupant classification sensor in the front passenger seat can misread the seat's occupant, causing the airbag to deploy unexpectedly during a crash rather than responding correctly to who is sitting there. On the brake side, a ball valve inside the vehicle stability assist modulator can leak brake fluid, which may cause the car to roll when the brake hold feature is engaged or cause the brake pedal to travel further than expected before the brakes bite. There is also a fuel system concern: the fuel pump can fail outright while the car is moving, cutting engine power without warning and leaving the driver without propulsion or engine braking.
