The 2020 Honda Accord has 6 recalls, the most serious involving the front passenger seat sensor, which can cause the passenger airbag to deploy unintentionally in a crash, raising the risk of injury.
On the fuel side, the low-pressure fuel pump inside the tank can fail while driving, causing the engine to stall. Two separate recalls cover this same pump failure across overlapping model ranges, but the underlying risk is the same. Hybrid models face an additional powertrain concern: the DC-DC converter can shut down and cut off charging to the 12-volt battery, which can result in a sudden loss of drive power. Rounding out the list, a software error in the body control module can cause intermittent communication failures with other systems, knocking out windshield wipers, the defroster, the rearview camera, or exterior lights.
