The 2018 Honda Fit has 6 recalls, the most serious involving the front passenger seat sensor, which can misread occupant weight and cause the airbag to deploy incorrectly in a crash, raising the risk of injury.
The fuel system is also a concern: the fuel pump can fail while driving, cutting engine power and stalling the vehicle without warning. On the visibility side, multiple recalls address the same underlying issue where the rearview camera fails to display when the engine is started with a key, leaving the driver with no rear view while backing up. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the problem, leading to additional filings. A related but separate condition can cause a voltage drop during startup that prevents the display audio system from powering on, with the same result of a blank screen when reversing.
