The 2018 Honda Fit has 6 recalls, the most serious involving the front passenger seat sensor, which can misread occupant weight and cause the passenger airbag to deploy incorrectly in a crash, raising the risk of injury.
The fuel system also has a concern: the fuel pump can fail while the car is moving, cutting power to the engine and stalling the vehicle without warning. On the visibility side, a voltage drop when starting the engine with a key can prevent the display audio system from powering on, which means the rearview camera image never appears on screen when backing up. Prior repair attempts for this rearview camera issue did not fully resolve the problem for some vehicles, leading to a follow-up recall. Together, these camera-related recalls cover the same underlying failure: the driver backs up with no camera feed and reduced awareness of what is behind the vehicle.
