The 2024 Honda Odyssey has 4 recalls, the most serious being a steering gearbox that can corrode internally and bind, causing loss of steering control and raising the risk of a crash.
Water can enter the steering gearbox when the assembly is not properly sealed or tightened, causing the gears to corrode and stick. There is also a front passenger seat sensor concern where the occupant classification system can misread the seat and cause the airbag to deploy incorrectly in a crash. A separate recall affects vehicles equipped with QRT-Deluxe or QRT-Max wheelchair restraint systems: the retractors may fail to lock, leaving the wheelchair unsecured and able to shift during transit.
