The 2016 Hyundai Genesis Coupe has two recalls, both addressing the same defect: the mounting bolts securing the driver's frontal airbag may not be properly tightened, which can allow the airbag to come loose or detach from the steering wheel entirely and raise the risk of injury in a crash.
Because both recalls describe the same underlying problem, there is effectively one issue to address. A driver's airbag that is not firmly attached to the steering wheel may not deploy correctly or may separate before it can protect the occupant, leaving the driver without proper restraint protection when it matters most.
