2022 HYUNDAI PALISADE Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2022 Hyundai Palisade has 6 recalls, the most serious involving the tow hitch harness, where moisture and debris on the circuit board can cause an electrical short that starts a fire while the vehicle is parked or in use. On the safety equipment side, seat belt buckles in the driver, front passenger, and second-row window seats can fail to latch, leaving occupants unrestrained in a crash. The side curtain airbags covering third-row passengers may also deploy incorrectly in a crash, reducing protection for those occupants. Two recalls address the instrument cluster display, which can go blank and leave the driver without access to gauges, warning lights, and other critical information. One affects vehicles where excess adhesive disables the screen; the other involves a faulty internal electrical connection producing the same result. There is also a visibility concern: the windshield wiper motor can operate intermittently or stop working when snow or ice builds up on the windshield, cutting the driver's view in winter conditions.
