The 2023 Hyundai Palisade has 4 recalls, with the most serious being a brake booster diaphragm that can slip out of position, causing a loss of power assist that extends stopping distances and raises the risk of a crash. Two recalls involve occupant protection. Seatbelt buckles in the driver, front passenger, and second-row window seats can fail to latch, leaving those occupants unrestrained in a crash. The side curtain airbags covering third-row passengers can also deploy incorrectly in a crash, reducing the protection they provide against ejection. There is also a visibility concern: the windshield wiper motor can operate intermittently or stop working entirely when snow or ice builds up on the windshield, cutting the driver's forward view in winter conditions.
