Engine complaints dominate what owners report for the 2016 Santa Fe Sport, making up roughly half the total complaints filed. The most consistent pattern is sudden, catastrophic engine failure, often with little or no warning beforehand. Owners describe driving at highway speeds when the engine abruptly loses power, sometimes with a check engine light appearing only moments before the failure, or in some cases not at all until the engine is already gone.
