The 2012 Hyundai Tucson has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the anti-lock brake control module, which can cause an engine compartment fire whether the vehicle is parked or in motion.
A separate engine concern involves the oil pan, which can develop a leak. If enough oil escapes, the engine can sustain internal damage that may lead to a stall or, in more severe cases, a fire. The driver-side airbag assembly can also work loose from its mounting in the steering wheel, meaning the airbag may not deploy correctly in a crash and could move in a way that increases injury risk to the driver.
