2017 JEEP RENEGADE Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2017 Jeep Renegade has 5 recalls, the most serious involving two separate defects that can cause the engine to stall and cut power while driving, raising the risk of a crash. Both stall-related issues affect vehicles with the 2.4L engine. In one case, a cracked oil pump housing can cause the oil pump to fail, killing the engine. The other affects 4x2 flex fuel (E85) models specifically, where the fuel pump can lose pressure under high-demand conditions, particularly at high altitude or in high ambient temperatures, and stall the engine. There is also an instrument cluster software issue where multiple warning lights can illuminate on the dashboard when nothing is actually wrong, which can make it harder to recognize a genuine fault when one does appear.
