The 2015 KIA K900 has 3 recalls, the most serious being a risk of engine compartment fire that can occur whether the vehicle is parked or being driven.
The fire risk stems from the anti-lock brake system's control module, which can overheat and ignite. On the lighting side, two recalls address the same underlying headlight problem on V8 Elite trims equipped with LED headlamps: when the headlight switch is left in auto mode, electrical resistance builds up in the multi-function switch over time, causing the headlights to flicker or cut out entirely while driving. Losing headlight illumination at night reduces how far ahead the driver can see and raises the risk of a collision.
