The 2015 KTM 1290 Super Adventure has 5 recalls, the most serious being two separate fuel leak risks: one from a defect in the fuel tank itself and another from the fuel tank cover mounting area, either of which can lead to a fire near an ignition source.
The brakes are also a concern: the wiring harness can fray and contact the ABS modulator, which can melt the brake line and cause brake failure. The remaining recalls involve the rear shock absorber, where oil can leak from the rebound damping plug and cause the shock to lose function, leaving the motorcycle with reduced stability and unpredictable handling.
