2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

The 2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport has 6 recalls, the most serious involving three separate issues that can each cause a sudden loss of drive power or structural failure: an electrical fault in mild-hybrid models, a transmission pressure drop that forces the gearbox into neutral, and body panels that may not be properly bonded and can leave occupants with less crash protection.

On the mild-hybrid side, the DC/DC converter can fail and cut drive power without warning, leaving the vehicle unable to accelerate. Separately but with the same result, transmission oil pressure can drop and cause the clutch to slip into neutral while driving, again cutting power to the wheels. The structural concern affects certain 2024 models where body panels are not adequately bonded, reducing the vehicle's ability to protect occupants in a crash. There is also a fire risk: the oil filter housing can crack and leak oil onto hot engine or exhaust components, which can ignite. On the visibility side, two camera-related issues appear: the near-field sensing module can overheat and knock out the 3D surround view and rearview camera displays, reducing what the driver can see while maneuvering or reversing. Finally, the panoramic sunroof side finisher trim can come loose and detach from the vehicle, becoming a hazard for other road users.
