The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport has 7 recalls, the most serious being two separate fire and power risks: an engine oil leak that can ignite near a heat source, and a mild-hybrid system fault that can cause a sudden loss of drive power.
Three recalls affect the rear lighting. Water can get into the right-side tail and tailgate lights and cause the brake, marker, reverse, and turn signal lights to fail. There is also a separate issue where certain vehicles were fitted with incorrect rear taillights that do not illuminate properly, including the brake lights, which can confuse drivers behind. On the structural side, the panoramic sunroof's side finisher trim may not be properly secured and can detach at speed, becoming a road hazard. Rounding out the list, the second-row seat armrest storage latch can fail in a crash, allowing loose objects inside the compartment to strike occupants.
