The 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Velar has 4 recalls, the most serious being a fuel rail end cap that can leak fuel vapor or liquid into the engine bay, where contact with hot engine or exhaust components raises the risk of an underhood fire. This recall only affects vehicles with the 2.0L gasoline engine.
Two other recalls concern visibility. The ventilation system's air inlet door linkage can detach, leaving the HVAC unable to clear fog or condensation from the windshield and windows, which reduces the driver's view of the road. There is also a software issue with the automatic high beam system: when it switches the high beams on automatically, no indicator lights up on the instrument cluster, so the driver may not realize oncoming traffic is being blinded by full-brightness headlights.
