The 2023 Lincoln Nautilus has two recalls, both stemming from the same issue: rear shock absorbers that can overextend and damage surrounding components, reducing braking performance and increasing stopping distances. When the rear shocks overextend, they can tear or crack the rear brake hoses, causing brake fluid to leak and weakening braking force. The same overextension can also damage the rear axle half shafts, wheel speed sensors, and stabilizer bar end links, which together affect how the vehicle handles and how accurately the anti-lock brake system responds.
