The 2023 Lincoln Nautilus has 4 recalls, the most serious being rear shock absorbers that can overextend and damage the rear brake hoses, causing brake fluid to leak and stopping distances to increase.
The same shock absorber failure can also damage the rear axle half shafts, wheel speed sensors, and stabilizer bar end links, which affects handling and traction feedback. There is also a child safety concern: the tether anchor wire welds on the second-row left-side seat back may not hold properly, reducing the seat's ability to restrain a child in a crash. On the electronics side, a software issue can cause the rearview camera to display a frozen image or no image at all when reversing, cutting off the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle.
