The 2021 Maserati Ghibli has 5 recalls, the most serious being a fuel line sensor housing that can crack and leak fuel, raising the risk of an engine stall or a fire if the leaking fuel contacts an ignition source.
The rear seat belt retractors carry a separate concern: the automatic locking mechanism can disengage too early, which prevents a child safety seat from cinching down properly and leaves it less secure in a crash. On the visibility side, a software issue in the radio system can block the rearview camera image from appearing when the car is in reverse, leaving the driver with no view of what is behind the vehicle. There is also a label issue that applies specifically to Ghibli Trofeo models equipped with optional 21-inch tires: the tire pressure placard on those vehicles may list incorrect inflation values, and tires inflated to the wrong pressure can reduce stability and handling, increasing the risk of losing control.
