The 2009 Maserati GranTurismo has 3 recalls, the most serious involving rear suspension tie rods that can fail and cause a sudden loss of steering control, raising the risk of a crash.
On the lighting side, a faulty rear lamp assembly can cause both the tail lights and brake lights to stop working, making the car harder for other drivers to see, particularly when slowing down. There is also a software issue affecting vehicles equipped with the optional front parking sensor system: a fault in the instrument cluster control module can prevent the seatbelt warning buzzer from activating, meaning occupants may not be alerted when a seatbelt is left unbuckled, which raises the risk of injury in a crash.
