The 1995 Mazda MX-6 has 3 recalls, the most serious being an ignition switch that can overheat and cause a fire.
Grease inside the ignition switch can become conductive over time, generating enough heat to start a fire. On the fuel system side, a dimensional mismatch between the inner and outer walls of the fuel filler pipe can create a gap where the fuel cap seats, allowing fuel vapors or raw fuel to escape into the atmosphere. There is also an emissions recall where the exhaust control logic can lose calibration with extended use, causing carbon monoxide output to exceed acceptable limits.
