The 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG E63 has 3 recalls, the most serious being a turbocharger oil feed line that can leak onto hot engine or exhaust surfaces and start an engine fire.
The two remaining recalls both involve the automatic emergency call system. In one, the eCall system can malfunction and transmit the wrong location to emergency responders after a crash, meaning help could be sent to the wrong place. In the other, the eCall system can fail entirely, cutting off the vehicle's ability to connect to an emergency call center when the occupants need it most. Both issues leave crash victims with less reliable access to emergency services, though neither affects how the car drives under normal conditions.
