The 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE63 has 5 recalls, the most serious being water intrusion into the spare tire well that can damage the fuel pump control unit and cause the engine to stall while driving.
Two separate recalls address the roof structure: the front panel between the windshield and panoramic sunroof can lose its adhesive bond and detach from the vehicle while driving, becoming a hazard to other road users. One of these recalls specifically covers vehicles where a prior repair attempt did not fully resolve the bonding issue. On the brake side, certain 2018 model year vehicles may experience reduced braking performance, extending stopping distances. There is also a recall covering the automatic emergency call system, which can send responders to the wrong location after a crash rather than the actual scene.
