The 2020 Mercedes-Benz AMG S63 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the front roof panel, which can lose its adhesive bond, detach from the vehicle while driving, and become a hazard for other traffic.
The remaining two recalls both involve the automatic emergency call system, which contacts first responders after a crash. In one case, the system can malfunction and send emergency services to the wrong location, meaning help could arrive at a different address than where the crash occurred. In the other, the system can fail entirely and prevent any call from going out, leaving occupants unable to reach emergency services and potentially delaying medical response. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the issue, which is why two separate campaigns address this same system.
