The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 has 4 recalls, with the most serious being a fire risk from a 48-volt ground connection under the passenger seat that can overheat if not properly secured.
Two recalls affect vehicle control. The fuel pump can shut down without warning, cutting drive power while the vehicle is in motion. Separately, the accelerator pedal mounting bracket can break or detach, leaving the driver unable to control throttle input. Both conditions raise the risk of a crash. There is also an engine concern on vehicles with the M254 engine: incorrect screws on the high-pressure fuel pump can allow fuel and oil to leak, creating a hazard for other vehicles on the road.
