The Mercedes-Benz GLK350 has 3 recalls spanning the 2010–2015 model years, with the most serious being a steering coupling bolt on 2013–2015 models that may not have been tightened adequately, which can cause the steering connection to work loose and result in a complete loss of steering control. The 2010 model year has a separate safety concern: the airbag control unit can corrode internally and malfunction, causing the airbags to deploy without warning while driving. There is also a compliance issue on certain 2013 models built between late May and early August 2012, where the headlights project more light than permitted, producing glare that can impair oncoming drivers.
