The 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (VS30) has 3 recalls, the most serious involving swivel seat wiring that can get caught and damaged in the seat frame, causing the side airbag to fire unexpectedly or fail to deploy in a crash.
The HVAC blower motor circuit carries a fire risk: the wiring supplying the climate control blower can overheat, and if left unchecked, that heat can ignite surrounding components. On the braking side, one vehicle was built with front brake discs that are the wrong size for the axle, meaning the brakes cannot slow the van as effectively as designed and the stopping distance is longer than expected in an emergency.
