The 2019 Nissan Rogue has 4 recalls, the most serious being a folding ignition key that can collapse while driving and cut power to the vehicle, creating a sudden and unexpected loss of engine control.
Two of the remaining recalls affect only Rogue Hybrid models. The brake booster on those vehicles can overheat internally, causing the power assist to fail and requiring significantly more pedal force to slow the car, which extends stopping distances. Also on hybrid trims, the engine control module bracket can rub against and damage the wiring harness, blowing a fuse and stalling the engine while underway. The fourth recall covers the backup camera, which on certain vehicles can fail to display an image when reversing, removing the driver's view of what is directly behind the car.
